"Wha'ever"

In this programme for secondary school pupils we revisit what they learnt in “Learning all about me” and then take it a step further. Wha'ever now encourages them not only to understand how to control their thoughts and feelings, but also gives them the tools to help them change their thoughts and feelings.

"Wha'ever" also begins to encourage them to start thinking about their future. Our aim is to give pupils an awareness of their own consciousness, in such a way that they can control how they feel and react to situations around them beneficially thus making them more resourceful! After a brief recap of the points learnt in 'Learning all about me' we now include:

D,D,G (Delete, Distort and Generalize)

This takes a look at how we automatically distort what we hear to fit our own knowledge, delete information out of our experience and generalise for ease and more efficient learning. A good example is 'a cat sat on a mat' - what cat and mat do you see?

Calibration of State

A brief introduction to understanding and interpreting non-verbal communication.

Eye Accessing Cues

This takes a look at the visual representations we make of our memories, thoughts and beliefs.

How to Create the right Energy!

How we can change the energy around us by making minor adjustments in our minds.

How to Plan!

We start introducing them to concepts and ideas as to how to plan for their future, how to assess what they are good at, what they enjoy doing and what options are available for them.

Wha'ever

Depending upon their age this will be taking a quick look at what they want to do with their life thus enabling them to make informed choices in their GSCE options, further education and/or career possibilities. We also give them the tools to start thinking about effective time management.

We also recap 'How to Learn and Remember', adjusting it to the study level they are now at.
